Welcome to Hampton Park Scout Group
Welcome to the Hampton Park Scout Group's website.
The Hampton Park Scout Group was founded in 1957 by Len Craddock (a local policeman) and with his vision and the commitment of many people since, has grown to become a large and extremely active group offering the scout program to young people throughout Morley and the surrounding areas.
The group originally met in an old wooden drill hall behind the Hampton Senior High School until in 1971 with support from parents, the Scout Association and the then Shire of Bayswater we were able to build our current facility. In 2001 the building was dedicated to the group’s founder and renamed the Len Craddock Scout Hall. See the history section of this website to give you a more detailed overview of the group’s history and growth.
Scouting is no longer just for the boys and at Hampton Park we offer a fantastic program for boys and girls from the age of 6. To facilitate the best possible program delivery, the youth members are divided into the following age based sections:
- Joey Scouts (6 to 8 yrs) meet on Tuesday afternoons - 4.45pm – 5.45pm
- Cub Scouts (8 to 11yrs) meet on Tuesday evenings – 7.00pm – 8.30pmv
- Scouts (10.5 to 15yrs) meet on Friday evenings – 7.00pm to 9.00pm
- Venturers (14.5 to 18yrs) meet on Tuesday Evenings – 7.00pm to 9.00pm
If you're considering becoming a member I encourage you to take a look around this site to get an idea of the great things we do. The gallery has photos of just a few of our recent activities and the news page shows details of upcoming events. Then go to the section 'How to Join' and follow the instructions from there.
Thank you
